Raye & Marlowe

Raye & Marlowe is a music project created by songwriter and music-industry professional Craig Coburn, bringing a lifelong love of sophisticated soul, pop and boogie into a new era of music-making. With more than two decades of experience spanning A&R, promotion and music publishing, Craig spent much of his career helping develop and promote the music of others. Today, he brings that experience to music of his own. A registered BMI songwriter, Craig draws on personal experiences of love and life to create songs rooted in the warmth and sophistication of late-'70s and early-'80s soul, melodic pop, Philly soul, West Coast grooves and boogie. As the creative force behind Raye & Marlowe, Craig writes the songs and directs the musical choices that shape each recording—from arrangements and instrumentation to vocal approach, background vocals and the final sound. Contemporary generative music technology is one part of that creative process, helping him shape and refine each recording until it reflects the music he envisioned. The visual world of Raye & Marlowe is expressed through illustrated characters Indigo Raye and Kai Marlowe, who embody the warmth, chemistry and timeless style of Craig's music. Human stories. Soulful music. A new way of bringing it to life. Follow Raye & Marlowe and stay in the groove. Instagram: @rayeandmarlowe
