Biography & Metadata
Yakul Kodama is project by Swedish artist Johannes Johansson. He regularly performs in Stockholm, so if you ever visit Sweden, feel inspired to attend one of his concerts. With this project, Johannes reimagines the soundtracks of the Studio Ghibli movies. Not only on piano, but as carefully thought-through neo-classical compositions with a subtle orchestral touch. Whereas the original Ghibli soundtracks can become quite dramatic at times, Yakul Kodama keeps the feeling calm and laid-back, supporting his piano with soft violins and gentle orchestral textures.
