Neon Diffraction

Neon Diffraction is the alias of UK producer Ru Goddard, best known for his house music work under the name Neon Transmission. While his previous releases have found homes on labels such as Paper Recordings, Houph, Housebeat Records, Blue Magenta, and Groove Foundation, Neon Diffraction represents a shift toward more exploratory territory including drum and bass. Ru has now teamed up with the legendary singer Fenton King, former frontman of the band Sick of Thieves to create the "New Blues" sound, combine the rhythmic drive of drum and bass with influences drawn from soul, blues, and deeper electronic textures, the project is rooted in contrast: organic and electronic, past and future, grit and atmosphere. It’s a space where traditional musicality meets modern production, often pushing beyond the expected boundaries of genre.
