Biography & Metadata

Jules Hiero is an instrumental hip hop producer blending jazz, global samples, and head-nod culture - beats made for late nights, notebooks, and long walks through cities. Drawing from jazz, anthropology, and underground hip hop, his music has generated over 100M streams worldwide. Follow for new releases! Jules' story starts on a basketball court and a skateboard, not in a studio. By ten, he was watching older kids freestyle and do graffiti - by fourteen, his basketball coach had introduced him to beats. A year later he was recording with friends, and at fifteen he was already making his first international rap track with North Carolina’s Fuzz & Mac and Median part of 9th Wonder’s circle. Jules grew up digging through Greek Rembetiko, Brazilian grooves, Arabic melodies, American soul, and anything mysterious enough to sample. Studying social and cultural anthropology in his twenties didn’t change his course - if anything, it expanded his obsession with researching cultures into a broader curiosity about societies, histories, and the layers that shape them. He worked with Greek artists like Logos Apeili and Greek-American underground rapper Efiologos, who connected him to Boston’s underground and the East Coast hip hop scene. Along the way, he’s worked closely with renowned musicians such as Antônio Neves (Marisa Monte, Adrian Younge ... ) Edo. G and Bencze Molnár (Jazzbois). If you’re into beats with passports and bars with history, stick around!
