Eligh

Eligh is a Los Angeles-born MC, producer, and songwriter who has spent more than three decades pushing the boundaries of independent hip-hop. First emerging as a member of 3 Melancholy Gypsies alongside Murs and Scarub, he later became a core member of the influential Living Legends collective, helping define a generation of artists who built careers outside the traditional music industry system. Alongside his solo work, Eligh is widely recognized for his longstanding partnership with The Grouch, releasing some of underground hip-hop's most celebrated collaborative projects. A self-described “genre-breaking, obsessive bass fiend,” his music draws from hip-hop, folk, jazz, dub, electronic music, and beyond. While known for producing much of his own catalog, Eligh has increasingly embraced collaborations with outside producers, including Amp Live, DNAE Beats, DJ.Fresh, Aloeight, EC.SE, and FAZE.ONE. His latest album, The Way The Light Looks, finds him exploring some of his most introspective and emotionally resonant songwriting to date over FAZE.ONE's lush, cinematic production. More than 30 years into his career, Eligh remains driven by the same thing that started it all: the desire to create.
