Paapi Muzik

Nairobi’s Paapi Muzik has been shaping his own corner of electronic music since his 2018 debut. Originally rooted in cinematic and atmospheric soundscapes, his production has evolved through the energy of ’90s dance music and the euphoric pull of trance, continually expanding into new sonic territory. Now, under his emerging IKAHU moniker, he enters a more experimental and futuristic chapter, building on the foundation established as Paapi Muzik. IKAHU explores the space between genres, blending the grit of trap, the weight and impact of bass, the ethereal lift of trance, and the immersive textures of ambient music. Together, Paapi Muzik and IKAHU represent two sides of an evolving electronic sound from cinematic atmosphere and nostalgia-driven dance influences to darker, heavier, and more boundary-blurring production. This new chapter pushes the project forward while staying rooted in the distinctive, ever-expanding sound that has defined his work from the beginning.
