nublu’s music resonates with people of all ages, due to his refreshing absence of profanity. He crafts lyrics about everyday life and relationships in a manner both relatable and poetically nuanced. The poet behind his signature spectacles has unleashed over 40 tracks, a staggering 90% of which have topped national charts. Having emerged in 2017 with charmingly droll bedroom recordings on SoundCloud (featuring observations on everything from FIFA to Estonian summer lawn-mowing culture), nublu established himself as a defining local mumble rap phenomenon. His breakthrough came with “Droonid”, followed by 2018’s summer anthem “Mina ka” and the chart-topping heartbreaker “Öölaps”. The 2019 hit “Für Oksana” with MC Gameboy Tetris, filmed in Narva, evolved into one of recent years’ most successful integration projects. nublu’s debut album “Café Kosmos” (2020) featured “Universum” with Mikael Gabriel that reached number one on Spotify in both Estonia and Finland. Last year’s “push it” with maria kallastu broke records with 21,000 Spotify streams on its debut day, earning nublu Pop Artist of the Year at the Estonian Music Awards along with Song and Video of the Year prizes. He secured third place in Finnish Eurovision preliminaries with “Vox Populi”, another collaboration with Mikael Gabriel. At the end of 2024, he signed with Island Records Finland, becoming the first signee of their Finnish division.
