Pedro Pubill Calaf, conocido artísticamente como Peret (Mataró, Barcelona, 24 de marzo de 1935-Barcelona, 27 de agosto de 2014), fue un cantante, guitarrista y compositor catalán de etnia gitana. Creo y popularizó en todo el mundo la denominada rumba catalana. Padre de la rumba y madre del ventilador (movimiento circular de la mano con un golpe que hacia de bombo a su vez) y que se extendió y popularizo a través de un sin fin de éxitos que compuso.
