Biography & Metadata
Whitey Morgan spent the first decade of his career raising hell. For the last decade, he’s been raising his son. In 2026, eight years after his last full-length studio project, Whitey Morgan is back with 11 new songs. With its explosive sound and hard-lived lyricism, Hell On The Highway puts on full display the life that Morgan stepped away from to raise his son, while confronting how that world coexists with the family he’s built. The end result of Morgan’s collaboration with GRAMMY Award-winning producer Justin Francis has left him more excited than ever about music. It’s big, heavy and, in Whitey’s words, “greasy”—pulling from the late ’60s and ’70s rock he grew up loving in Michigan without leaving behind the country sound that got him here. After two decades on the road, Morgan isn’t interested in staying in one lane anymore. “I miss rock bands,” he says. Hell On The Highway pushes the 78’s further into rock & roll than ever before, with the volume and grit to match. And these days, the highway looks a little different. Morgan’s son Wyatt now joins his father on tour, where the pair can be found riding dirt bikes on an off-day or skateboarding in a venue alley late into the night. Heading into 2027, Morgan is still raising hell—only now, he’s got his favorite person along for the ride.
