Stilhed

STILHED (Silence) Stilhed is the ambient project of Danish composer and producer Thomas Haahr. The project centers on spacious soundscapes shaped by delicate piano motifs, soft synth textures, and a careful ear for tone and atmosphere. Much of the music is born in quiet late-night sessions, where stillness itself becomes part of the creative process. Originally emerging in 2021, Stilhed grew naturally from Thomas’ long-standing fascination with sound design, dusty analog synths, and the emotional depth that can exist in minimal musical gestures. His work often explores the space between ambient and modern classical music: Pieces that can live gently in the background, yet reveal new details to listeners who choose to linger. Since the project began, Stilhed has collaborated with a range of artists across the ambient scene and released music through labels including Valley View Records, Ambient Soundscapes, Moderna Records, Slow Echo, and Mare Nostrum. In 2023 he released the debut full-length album Oeer via Valley View Records, followed by a series of EPs and singles exploring sleep-focused and meditative sound worlds. Recent releases include the collaborative track The Light We Carry for the Winter Postcards compilation (Echoes Blue Music × Silent Sonic Records), as well as the 2026 EP Aeralis, released through Ambient Soundscapes and Valley View Records.
