He’s appeared on 50+ albums. Lipner has presented hundreds of workshops/concerts on 6 continents from Juilliard to Moscow, London to New Zealand, Royal Palace (Marrakech) to Appalachian foothills. He premiered his concerto “Mallet Fantasia” with Nat’l Symphony of Brazil in Rio. Over 100 Lipner compositions have been released, many licensed for tv/film worldwide. Arthur wrote the universally adopted “Vibes Real Book” & “Jazz Mallets: In Session.” Arthur’s 10th solo project is “Mallet Poet”(2022). A NYC session player for 30 yrs, his appearances include a bluegrass album, with Tuvan throat singers “Alash,” Chris Brubeck’s Waterworks, & 5 albums in Brazil. Arthur created 9 albums for NYC’s Solo Sounds. He’s played an ice xylophone (Norway), in Rio’s Carnival, and a stone marimba (Iceland). These events are in the acclaimed documentary “Talking Sticks” premiering at Symphony Space (NYC, 2016). Filmed in Ghana, Mexico, Iceland, Brazil, Norway.
