Biography & Metadata

Aquasky, featuring Brent Newitt, Dave Wallace, and Kieron Bailey, have evolved through electronic music from Acid House to bass music. Starting in the early '90s, they made significant impacts on labels like Moving Shadow, Reinforced, Good Looking, and Hospital. Their notable releases include ‘Orange Dust’ (1997), ‘Bodyshock’ (1999), and ‘Aftershock’ (2000). In 2001, they explored disco and Latin house under Tenth and Parker. By 2002, they pioneered ‘Bassline Breaks’ in the Nuskool Breaks scene, leading to the landmark album ‘Teamplayers’ (2006). They created ‘Black Noise’ for cut-up house, remixing artists like Crookers and Diplo. In 2010, Aquasky returned to their energetic roots with ‘Raise the Devil’ (2011), collaborating with The Ragga Twins, Tenor Fly, and others. In 2012, they released successful remixes and continued impacting the Breakbeat scene with Passenger Records and their sample label, ‘Monster Sounds’. They also run Skyhigh Music for licensing music in film, TV, and games. Today, Aquasky remains active, producing, remixing, and DJing globally, maintaining a career spanning over two decades.
