Tsunamiz

Tsunamiz is the artist name and solo project of Portuguese musician, composer and producer Bruno Sobral, from the South Bank of the Tagus River, just outside Lisbon. Blending alternative rock, post-punk, synthpunk, electronic beats and hip-hop influences, Tsunamiz creates a genre-defying sound where raw energy meets melody and experimentation. Starting his musical journey as a teenager in 1999, Bruno Sobral evolved from a grunge and hardcore background into an independent artist, writing, recording and producing his own music. His influences range from Nirvana and The Prodigy to Depeche Mode, Wu-Tang Clan and electronic music, alongside the diverse cultural influences of the place where he grew up. With eight studio albums released and a growing catalogue of songs, Tsunamiz has developed a distinctive universe that feels both nostalgic and futuristic — somewhere between post-punk urgency, electronic experimentation and the immediacy of pop songwriting. His music explores personal, social and existential themes through a direct and uncompromising voice. His music has received airplay on Portuguese radio stations such as Antena 3 and Rádio Radar, while songs from his catalogue have also been featured in television productions. He has performed across Portugal, bringing his intense one-man show to venues, festivals and cultural events. Independent by choice and driven by constant creation, Tsunamiz is sonic resistance.
