Gareth Evans

Familiar songs, reimagined on six strings. Gareth Evans is a fingerstyle guitarist from North Wales whose arrangements bring melody, bass, rhythm and percussion together on a single acoustic guitar. The vocal line becomes part of the playing, creating instrumental versions that tell the song's story without a singer. His repertoire spans pop, rock and timeless ballads, from the gentle lift of You Raise Me Up to the rhythmic pulse of Budapest. Through close-up performance videos, listeners can see how the different parts come together. Gareth has shared his playing and taught guitar online since 2009. Alongside his recordings, he creates lessons and arrangements through Goliath Guitar Tutorials, helping other guitarists learn the music for themselves.
