Biography & Metadata
Belloso is a Venezuelan electronic music producer and multi-instrumentalist blending Afro-Caribbean rhythms with contemporary electronic styles. Based in Mexico City, he explores ancestral percussion, chants, and field recordings to create deep, percussive live sets. Convinced of the value of Caribbean and Venezuelan cultural identity, Belloso is dedicated to the preservation and celebration of traditional music. His solo work is built around field recordings made by him, traveling through towns and villages to capture traditional rhythms in their place of origin, highlighting their richness and diversity. His latest project, Electro Tambores, fuses these traditions with Amapiano, house, and techno. The album includes collaborations with native Venezuelan groups such as Los Sanjuaneros de Cata, Las Estrellas de Birongo, and Tambores de San Millán. Belloso has performed at Fusion Festival (Berlin), Nomade (Tulum), Nublu (New York), and 1800 Lucky (Miami). Formerly co-founder of Latin Grammy-nominated rock band Los Mesoneros, he now channels his energy into a solo journey that bridges the ancestral with the electronic.
