The Soulful Strut

Based in Stockholm, we are a jazz band brought together by a deep love for jazz, improvisation, and the feeling of musicians creating something together in the moment. In our everyday musical lives, improvisation is not always at the center of what we do. The Soulful Strut gives us a different kind of space — a place to explore a side of our musical expression that we rarely get the chance to fully embrace. To listen, react, take chances, and let the music find its own way. Our music is warm, relaxed, and rooted in the jazz tradition. We want it to feel equally at home in the foreground or quietly filling a room. Something you can put on, slow down to, close your eyes, and simply let the music take over for a while. Jazz has always fascinated us, and this project is our way of getting closer to it — with curiosity, freedom, and a lot of love for the music.
