The Gilmore Family Band

In 2000, Shannon and Jason Gilmore embarked on their musical journey, sharing the stage with The Old Dog Band in Colorado Springs. Their friendship was forged through Shannon's vocals and Jason's mastery of the guitar and mandolin. Despite Shannon relocating to California in 2005, their connection endured, while Jason continued to explore his musical path, contributing to various bands in the Colorado Springs area. By 2016, Shannon returned, engaging in the local music scene and taking ownership of a significant music venue. More than a decade later, Shannon and Jason rekindled their musical partnership, spanning multiple genres and evolving their friendship into something deeper. This evolution led to the birth of The Gilmore Family Band in November 2019. In 2020, they joined forces with John Wise on bass and Teddy Nazario on drums to form the first version of The Gilmore Family Band. Their diverse sound spanned blues, bluegrass, rock, folk, country, jazz, and reggae, laying the foundation for their debut album's original songs. By late 2021, Shannon and Jason moved to Boulder, CO and recording began on MESS THAT WE MADE. Despite challenges ahead, the recording process offered some solace. In 2023, they decided to prioritize family and relocated to west central Wisconsin. The addition of Tyler Kluth on upright bass, solidified their new progressive acoustic sound and opened fresh creative avenues. Just another crazy plot twist in the evolving Gilmore Family story.
