Yo! It’s Yaki. I am a Filipino-American Christian rapper based in Tallahassee, FL. If I had to describe myself in two words, it would be “Kingdom Stepper”. Everything I do is for the glory of Jesus Christ, and these two words have stuck with me as a tagline for that. I am a disciple first, artist second. Being secure in my identity as a man of God allows me to pursue my calling with complete confidence and the authority of the Holy Spirit. My goal isn’t to make fans—it’s to create disciples. Music is my mission field. If you like lyrical, content-rich rap with messages that will leave you stank-faced and convicted all at once, look no further. I enjoy creating art that leaves you intrigued, not just entertained. The kind of rap that will have you park the car and pray when you were supposed to be driving to work. Honest truth, raw emotion, and the real experience of wrestling with God infused into bars so hard, they could scratch diamond. The Christian walk isn’t perfect, nor easy—but it is fulfilling. And I wholeheartedly believe my art encapsulates that journey. This isn’t background noise. It’s the desperate cry of a broken vessel to a God who hears every word—the shouts of praise, and the laments of pain. The world has enough rappers, but who is willing to rebel?
