Inviting an audience to live inside the song, where there is the freedom to move through whatever emotions, states or feelings need to be moved through, contained by music. mt. fujitive's music emerges from the pairing of beats produced using the sampler AKAI MPC 2000 XL and a secretly guarded treasure trove of samples. Drawing inspiration from the work of high level and underground producers alike, mt. fujitive has been creating Lofi hip hop for over a decade. In the lineage of the greats of the golden age of 90’s hip hop producers - J Dilla, Pete Rock and Madlib. It is this simplicity of marriage between that which he finds and that which he creates that drives the process - ‘It’s what makes us’.
