So Soon is the project of multi-instrumentalists, songwriters, and producers David Stöbener and Marco Braun. Together, they craft a sound that bridges intimacy and expansiveness. Indie pop and folk merge seamlessly with electronica and alternative, creating a moving whole—both on record and in their immersive live performances with a full band. Stöbener and Braun have been friends since their youth and have been making music together for years. This longstanding collaboration shapes the sound of So Soon: layered songwriting, precisely placed vocals, and a keen sensitivity to dynamics and detail. Autobiographical snapshots—the experience of growing up in a world full of possibilities and expectations, hazy hope, and drifting melancholy—form the thematic core of their songs. Their debut album, Whether You Like It Or Not (2024, Clouds Hill), introduced So Soon to a wider audience.
