QRTR is Meagan Rodriguez, electronic music producer, DJ, and film composer rooted in the East Coast underground dance music scene. Co-founder of artists' collective and record label .WAVCAVE, she also runs JOINT FUNCTION, a traveling party series and collaborative club tools project connecting electronic artists across cities. Her sound fuses cinematic synth progressions with club-focused rhythms, threading the line between sonic experimentation and rave-ready productions. What Pitchfork called "an euphoric trip through the mind" and Paste described as "alternative-universe club classics in pastel blues and sludgy blacks," infina ad nausea (2021) established QRTR as a voice entirely her own. Its predecessor, Drenched (2020), laid the foundation. Her third album, ONDAS (2025), translates themes of cyclical grief and relief through vocal and lyrical exploration. Named for the Portuguese and Spanish word for "waves," it draws from her multilingual upbringing and a poem written to her mother: an invocation to keep moving forward through the ebb and flow. QRTR's live presence spans Coachella, Electric Forest, and HARD Summer to underground standouts like Philly's Making Time and A2B2's sold-out Night of Fire at the Knockdown Center in New York alongside Arca, Eartheater, and Kero Kero Bonito.
