Biography & Metadata
nigel sparks is an artist shaped by real life, not just music. his journey has never been easy. while building a movement through his business, music often had to take a step back. there were seasons where survival came first, including the difficult decision to close three of his stores. but even then, the music never stopped. it just became more personal. in 2018, his appearance on 16 baris season 2 introduced him as an artist to watch. but for nigel, it was never about chasing attention or proving he was the best. it was about documenting what he was going through in real time. each release became a timestamp. “dllm” (2018) carried raw rebellion. “chains” (2019) wrestled with the weight of choosing your own struggles. “dirt on my name” (2020) answered the noise from those who thought he had fallen off. “after all” (2022) reflected on cycles of chaos, growth, and perspective. in 2024, with producer ezzad working alongside him full-time, nigel entered a new phase, no longer choosing between making a living and making music. for the first time, he had space to create without compromise. in 2025, he released his first album, payung (i) — an 8-track project that reads more like a journal. a collection of thoughts and moments from both his rise and lowest years. his latest record, “doa” featuring tuju, reflects a shift in perspective, understanding what comes with what you ask for, and choosing to face it fully.
