Author, actor, role model - But first and foremost Chris Pohl is a grade-A musician. With his band Blutengel, the Berlin-based icon of dark music can now look back on a successful career of 25 years with 16 studio albums and numerous EPs as well as countless sold-out live shows. The “King of blood”, who has been accompanied by singer Ulrike Goldmann since their album “Labyrinth” in 2007, only ever knew one direction in his musical career: upwards. As an artist, Chris Pohl strives to defy the boundaries of genre definitions and rather picks the best of dark electro, alternative rock, industrial pop and such to create his own unique style - each track a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Regularly placed in the official German Charts (e.g. 2019: #2 with “Un:Gott; 2021: #4 with “Erlösung – The Victory of Light”), Blutengel is a well-known name not only to those in the dark music scene. With the latest album “Un:Sterblich - Our Souls Will Never Die”, Chris Pohl reflects his whole musical past, but also shows how Blutengel has changed and developed over time.
