Kennebec

Kennebec is the creative vessel of composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Eric Phillips whose work delivers a lush, boundary-pushing blend of globally inspired ambient chamber-folk, alternative jazz, and downtempo hip-hop. His first two albums were released via Night Time Stories — the London-based label behind the beloved Late Night Tales compilation series and initial home to legendary trio Khruangbin. Following collaborations with celebrated artists such as Samuel T. Herring Sudan Archives, Yazz Ahmed , Joe Armon-Jones and Alfa Mist and working on soundtracks for acclaimed projects like The Holdovers and Barack Obama’s Netflix series Working, Kennebec independently released The Water Wheel, a conceptually rich third album exploring impermanence, love, and the cycles of time. Kennebec has since expanded into an amorphous collection of performers and improvisers in the live setting, touring across the US, performing as an ensemble at festivals including PDXJazz and SXSW and opening up for folks like Arooj Aftab Minus the Bear Joep Beving and Kevin Morby KennebecMusic.org
