Kidjaywest

Kidjaywest is a Punjabi Hip-Hop artist from Sydney, Australia. Born in Australia, Kidjaywest spent his youth growing up in Punjab (India), learning both Punjabi and Hindi - establishing a strong connection to the people and culture. Once back in Australia, and inspired by the growth of the Canadian circuit of Indian creators, he began writing Punjabi music of his own and has done so over the course of 7 years. A strong love for Hip-Hop and heavy influence by the likes of Jay-Z, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar and J-Cole, saw Kidjaywest closed away, working on his craft as a past time to the daily grind. With a strong focus on shifting cadences and the concept of the human condition, Kidjaywest aims to create Punjabi Hip-Hop that is punchy, evokes vivid imagery and is relatable to the every day listener.
