Representing Bed Stuy Brooklyn, Tekomin "TEK" Williams burst onto the hip-hop scene in 1993 on Black Moon's Enta Da Stage album. Blending Jamaican Patois at times with his laid-back, gritty flow, TEK embodies the signature Brooklyn sound. He is one-half of the groundbreaking duo, Smif-N-Wessun. To date, TEK has released 5 albums and 1 EP as part of Smif-N-Wessun, 4 albums as part of the Boot Camp Clik, 2 albums and 1 EP as a solo artist, and 1 album as part of Culture Pushaz Collective. Smif-N-Wessun's first single, Bucktown was released in 1994 and was a Billboard Hot 100 hit. The duo's critically acclaimed debut album, Dah Shinin', was released in 1995, charted in the Billboard Top 200, and would go on to sell more than 300,000 copies. As a solo artist, TEK released 24kt Smoke in 2010 with production from Statik Selektah and features from Havoc of Mobb Deep, and Inspectah Deck. In 2021, TEK released his 2nd full-length solo LP, PRICELE$$, which features Conway the Machine, AZ, and Roc Marciano. He also established Culture Pushaz Collective with FLASH and released a single with CeeLo Green, titled "MAKE ME SMILE." With a career that has spanned four decades, TEK came up in hip-hop's golden era with artists like The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, and JAY-Z. As part of Smif-N-Wessun, he has collaborated with fellow hip-hop and R&B legends like 2Pac Mary J. Blige, Aaliyah, Wyclef Jean, Bounty Killer, Raekwon, Rick Ross, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Fat Joe, Talib Kweli, and Sean Price.
