Biography & Metadata
Patrik Kabongo is an award-winning songwriter and recording artist, often regarded as a narrative architect for his ability to translate lived experience into moody, sophisticated records with sharp, reflective lyricism. His work blends cinematic production with deeply personal storytelling. Emerging in the late 2010s, Kabongo built early momentum through singles such as Entitled (2017), Diamonds (2018), and Not For Profit (2019), the latter charting on iTunes’ Top 200 in the Netherlands. His 2019 release Spadina led to a special guest appearance on YTV and set the stage for High End Pack (2020), which surpassed 440,000 streams reaching #9 on iTunes’ Top 200 Releases Canada (Hip-Hop/Rap). Tracks from the project, High End and High End (120 Remix), were featured during the 2020 NBA Finals and in TikTok’s nationwide campaign. As an independent artist, Kabongo’s music has landed across ESPN, CBC Sports, the NBA, NFL, and MLB while earning three consecutive Production Music Awards wins in London, UK (2023–2025) in the Hip-Hop/Rap category. In 2023, he expanded into alternative R&B and Afro-pop with I TRIED TO SING A SONG, featuring the chart-topping single DANCING IN A ROOM LIKE STRANGERS. Supported by Apple Music, BBC Radio 2, Complex, and CBC, and through collaborations with brands including TikTok, G-Star Raw, New Era, Jordan, Levi’s, and The North Face, Patrik Kabongo continues to position himself at the intersection of music, culture, and commerce.
