Matt Pridgyn

Matt Pridgyn is a South African-born Canadian producer, songwriter, and DJ. His love for music and melodies began when he started learning classical piano at the age of 8. He grew up to learn guitar in his teenage years, and always loved playing music with others. In 2020, the pandemic gave him the opportunity to dive into music production, and he began releasing remixes on YouTube, gaining popularity with 100K+ views on his channel. He met many friends at university that were also involved in music, and developed a passion for both songwriting and DJing. Matt honed his production skills and drew inspiration from melody-focused artists like Avicii, Martin Garrix, Axero, and Kygo. In 2024, Matt's growth has been exponential, playing for small festivals and clubs across Canada, receiving support from bigger artists on his remixes, and exploding in popularity on TikTok for his nostalgic EDM remixes and originals. Constantly inspired by the nostalgic period of EDM often referred to as the "Golden Era" (2010-2015), Matt's dream is to bring back the progressive and melodic sounds that he grew up on as a kid.
