Biography & Metadata
Born on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Raised on loud amps, heavy riffs and organised chaos. The Northern Beaches is famous for surfers, cafés and postcard sunsets. We grew up with blown speakers, backyard gigs, late-night garage rehearsals and enough noise complaints to keep the council busy. Blind Eliza was born in that chaos. Growing up on the Northern Beaches gave the three of them more than just a postcode. It gave them a shared upbringing of beach culture, backyard parties, late-night garage rehearsals and a love for hard rock that was loud enough to annoy the neighbours. At one point, rehearsals became so loud that people living over a kilometre away lodged noise complaints, eventually leading to a mediation with the local council. If anything, it only convinced us to turn the amps up even louder. Blind Eliza isn't about standing still on stage. Every show is about getting the crowd involved—whether that's screaming the lyrics back at us, diving into the mosh pit or creating the kind of atmosphere where strangers leave as mates. Truth be told, Sean occasionally forgets the lyrics to his own songs, so the audience has become an unofficial member of the band. If you're looking for polished background music, you've probably come to the wrong place. If you're looking for loud guitars, explosive energy and a room full of people losing their minds together, welcome to Blind Eliza.
