Shur-I-Kan

Shur-i-kan is the alias of London producer Tom Szirtes, a fixture in deep house for over two decades. His records and remixes have landed on some of the scene's most respected labels - Freerange, Lazy Days, Urban Torque, Simple, NRK - and he co-runs Dark Energy Records with Milton Jackson. What sets his sound apart is the musicianship underneath it: years playing keyboards in bands, including a stint with improv outfit The Bays, come through in productions that pair rich, emotional songwriting with club-ready rhythm. That combination has carried across to his DJ mixes too, which have racked up millions of plays and become a go-to for deep and underground house fans.
