Skinny Local

Skinny Local is a composer and producer from Calgary, Alberta, known for blending electronic music with South Asian influences. His sound spans hip hop, industrial, acid house, to breakcore and alternative rock. With a background in filmmaking, his music feels cinematic and immersive, often suited for storytelling-driven projects. His releases include "Radio Bombay", a dystopian-themed album, and the cyberpunk-inspired "Project Kalyug EP", which was featured in Rolling Stone India for its futuristic soundscapes. He has collaborated with JUNO Award-winning duo Snotty Nose Rez Kids on "Screaming Indian", exploring Indigenous and South Asian identity. His track "MMM" was also featured on the EA FC24 Official Soundtrack. Skinny Local was also nominated for Best Composition at the 2022 Leo Awards, further showcasing his versatility as a composer.
