Biography & Metadata

If one of my songs found you here, thank you for listening. I hope these songs remind you of home, make you dance, and stay with you long after they’ve ended. Hit Follow as there’s lots more music on the way, and I’d love for you to be part of the journey. 💙 Artist Bio Aabha Hanjura is a singer-songwriter redefining contemporary Indian folk-pop by bringing the sounds and stories of Kashmir into conversation with folk traditions from across India. Singing in Kashmiri, Hindi, Punjabi, Dogri and Urdu, her music blends timeless roots with a modern, pop sensibility. Her rendition of Hukus Bukus became a pop culture moment—amassing over 8 million views, finding its way into The Family Man, and introducing Kashmiri folk music to millions of listeners. Recognised as one of India’s 50 Women Game Changers in Music, Aabha has performed at leading festivals and stages including NMACC, Jaipur Literature Festival, Udaipur World Music Festival and Maha Kumbh. Fresh off a successful July tour, including the launch of Aabha Hanjura’s Folk Collective at a sold-out show at the Rajasthan International Centre in Jaipur, she continues to build a new space for Indian folk music—one that feels rooted, contemporary and unmistakably her own.
