Mahazona

Born in 2004, Sri Lankan rapper and producer Mahazona (මහසෝනා) is the architect of the shortform remix movement in South Asian hiphop. He pioneered a viral trend, adding lightningfast rap verses to nonrap Sinhala tracks to make them cooler. This earned him millions of views, making him one of Sri Lanka's top short rap creators with a 250k+ combined follow base across TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. Blending traditional appeal with underground edge, Mahazona’s explosive features anchor major hits. He featured on the 15Mview classic "Lande" with Roshan Fernando "Hena Ketayam" with iDilki Uresha and Chamath Sangeeth (1.8M), "Juice" with Ashen Senarathna (1.5M), and "Premaye Histhan" with Dilshan L Silva and NETHMINI (2M). He also collaborated with Santhur and top Music Producers in Sri Lanka while mentoring underground talent. Behind the boards, Mahazona is a premier audio manager, jingle writer, and vocalist shaping sonic branding for bluechip giants like Maliban, Munchee, Helago, Intalent Asia, and SLIM Campus. He wrote, vocaled, and featured on the official 2026 Maliban Lemon Puff Aluth Avurudu national jingle.
