Marcel Sebastian Kaufmann

Marcel creates piano music with emotional weight and melodic clarity, inspired by neoclassical music and the singer-songwriter heritage. His path back to music, after a career in law and business, has led to a fast-growing international audience. Classically trained since the age of six, he began composing early but only launched publicly in 2023. Since then, he has built a lively global fanbase, with over 18,000 Instagram followers connecting through his heartfelt sound. Following three acclaimed solo piano albums, Marcel has recently presented his 4th studio album - stille spuren. In the world of solo piano—where it can sometimes feel as if everything has already been said—the album searches for new expressions, forms, and colors: hints of mid-century jazz ballads, fragments and improvisation, and touches of modern house and hip-hop composition. What connects all of this is Marcel’s enduring love for clear harmonic language and melodies that make his music recognizable, distinctive, and ultimately deeply relatable. His upcoming release, the EP “lieblingsplatz,” returns to the genre's roots—miniatures that make you feel right at home, little waltz melodies, and romantic piano songs. The latest single—“ein zuhause”—is out now and invites you to explore more of Marcel's piano music.
