Biography & Metadata

Yavenirie Amok plays dark experimental gothic rock with a hint of mystery pagan folk. Original music and lyrics are written by Zuza Tehanu who is also a lead singer and guitarist. The squad is completed by Tomasz Brajter on bass guitar and Jan Folga on drums. Tomasz and Jan are also producing the music. In October 2016 Zuza Tehanu started a collaboration with Tomasz Brajter, they recorded few of her songs and in October 2017 they created a band YAVENIRIE PROJECT celebrating the event with their first gig for friends and family in Zuza’s flat. As a duo they have played numerous gigs around London music venues and released their first music video to the song “Something is coming” in 2018. In the summer of 2021 Jan Folga joined the band as a drummer and since then they began a new chapter. With a bit of a different, heavier sound and more clear music direction they changed the name to YAVENIRIE AMOK and have been performing together ever since. Their music and live shows combine original and unusual harmonies, rooted in world tribal music, heavy rock and metal guitars, wide spectrum of uneasy rhythms, theatre, poetry, dance, visual arts and costume forming a specific Sound Theatre. The topics are often personal, dark, deep, inspiring, social matters and spiritually orientated. The atmosphere is mysterious, rooted, uplifting but also leaving you profoundly touched. In 2021 the band played their biggest gig yet – in Water Rats for a +150 audience, supporting amazing Perkelt.
