Biography & Metadata

Sharman has worn many hats in her lengthy career; musician, composer, arranger, educator, writer, actress, filmmaker and editor and music supervisor. She spent many years performing in different genres from solo artist to big bands, from rock and folk to classical and jazz, including a stint as keyboard player for the 60's group The Duprees. Her first recorded composition was co-writing lyrics for Frank Sinatra's Here's to the Band, also recorded byLiza Minnelli and Sammy Davis Junior. She’s released two jazz CDs, Unconditionally, a collection of mostly original songs, and Double Standards, a collection of partner songs recorded with her husband, Alfredo Nittoli. They also just completed co-writing, producing, directing and editing Does the Band Eat, a film about Alfredo’s 60 years in the music business based off of his biography I’m a Popular Unknown. Sharman's latest solo project, Live Your Bloom, is an original, introspective and personal collection of stories and songs that she performs in a one-woman show and is in the process of recording.
