Ivan Makvel

Ivan Makvel is an Italian certified gold record producer, musician, talkbox performer, singer, and mastering engineer — and the founder of The Sleepers Recordz based in Valencia . Active since 2007 in the Street Dance and Modern Funk worlds, he was behind the celebrated solo album Talkbox Bluesman (2014) & A Family Affair (2021) and tracks like “We Love You Roger,” “I Got Funk,” “Essential Funk,” and “Keep Movin’” . With his imprint, he has released music by artists including Articolo 31 (with which he won a Gold Record in Italy, collaborating on some of the productions of their latest album Protomaranza.), Mofak, Temu, XL Middleton, Funkmaster Ozone and collaborated with labels like Wicked Wax (Amsterdam), Voyage Funktastique (Montreal), and MoFunk Records (LA) .
