Beyond Disdain

Beyond Disdain is a passion project born from a group of friends who grew up on the golden era of nu metal and hard rock. The name started in a middle school notebook, the love for the music never stopped, and now we're building the sound we always talked about making. Our team pours everything into every release because we owe it to the music that raised us. Beyond Disdain is a project created by Retro Modern Records out of Miami, Florida. Lead co-producers behind the project are son and mother duo Trevor & Shana Anderson. This is a creative outlet and passion project built by a team of people who love this genre. We’ve poured countless hours into every song, starting with an idea, lyrics writing, melodies driven by real instruments, finding the chords and progressions that resonate, then building out the production with professional mixing, mastering, and a blend of traditional techniques and next-generation technology to dial in the exact vocal and instrumental sounds we’re chasing. Every track is written, arranged, and directed by hand with massive amounts of human input from our team. The tech is just another instrument in the toolkit.
