Giftson Durai

Giftson Durai, born and raised in the small town of Erode, Tamil Nadu, India, where access to technology and music resources was limited, debuted with his first album, Thoonga Iravugal, in 2018. Crafted during a challenging season marked by his recovery from panic attacks, emotional triggers, and antidepressants, the album reflects his personal journey of healing through faith and the Gospel’s message. This collection of songs introduced a fresh sound to Tamil gospel music, resonating deeply with audiences through soul-stirring lyrics grounded in biblical poetry, which quickly led it to the top of the charts. Following this debut, Giftson released a series of five EPs and several singles, each spreading the message of hope and faith through beautifully composed music. Songs like “Aasaigal,” “Manase,” “Kanavai Vilangum,” “Enna Senjom,” and “Vidai Ariya” capture the human experience in ways that continue to touch hearts and guide listeners spiritually. Giftson’s work has reached listeners worldwide, with several of his songs amassing millions of streams. As a prolific gospel songwriter and producer with over 50 songs to his credit, Giftson continues to bless his audience, inviting them to listen, reflect, and be inspired.
