Biography & Metadata

Marquarious (Marky) Deonta Orr, going by the stage name Alejandro (Dro) Sosa is a southern rapper, songwriter, performer, musician, and record producer. He was born in Calhoun County, Anniston, Alabama. His hometown and upbringing are key influencers to his style of music and lyrical content. Dro’s beat selection is inspired by trap artist such as Gucci Mane, T.I and 2 Chainz. His unique vocal sound, expressive delivery, and passion for honing each bar separates him apart from other rap artist. In 2021, Alejandro signed with Sanbox Entertainment, a brand-new record label that has been able to put their full attention into helping Dro share his passion for music with the rest of the world. While Alejandro hasn’t had much live performance opportunities due to COVID restrictions, he has performed his current tracks, Bankroll, Real Trapper, & Money Counter at locations such as Nuvo Lounge in Raleigh, NC. Dro is excited to start performing live again as COVID restrictions begin to relax across the country. His club-banging track “Money Counter” (feat Trap Teezy) was Dro’s first single released this year and has quickly become a fan favorite due to the unique trap beat, catchy hook and flow. The song “Bankroll” was plugged in Honk Magazine recently as a “record that hits the mark in every way.” Dro is currently polishing up a single project titled Righteous that will be hitting the digital marketplace on November 5th.
