Biography & Metadata

Cheryl B. Engelhardt is a 2x GRAMMY®-nominated artist & composer who writes New Age music, pieces for choirs, scores for commercials, and music for meditation apps, orchestras, and other media. Cheryl began her career as an advertising & film composer in NYC, scoring several national commercials before hitting the road with her pop band. Her music has been placed in numerous TV shows, meditation apps, & airlines. She composes for social justice choirs & has been featured in People & Forbes for her collaboration with Donzaleigh Abernathy, Martin Luther King’s goddaughter, on the song “The Listening.” Her seventh album, the GRAMMY®-nominated project The Passenger, made her the first person to create a full album on a cross-country Amtrak train journey in 2022. Her second nomination is for her 2025 release, According to the Moon. A certified trauma-informed coach, Cheryl empowers musicians & creatives through her mastermind program, Amplify, and her platform, In The Key of Success. She leads workshops and retreats focused on sustainable systems, nervous system regulation, and aligned careers. A Cornell University alumna with advanced orchestration training from Juilliard, Cheryl is a sought-after speaker, moderator, and advocate for artists. She also serves as a key advocate for musicians through her roles as Governor of The Recording Academy’s New York Chapter and as Chair of Contemporary/Commercial Repertoire for the American Choral Directors Association Eastern Region.
