Saliwa, born Sibukeli Ndunakazi in eMpangeni, is one of Maskandi’s most powerful voices and a rising force in contemporary African traditional music. Since his debut, Saliwa has released standout projects including “Bashay’indesheni” (2020), “Zingishiyil’ Eziy’emhlangeni” (2022) and “Emabhukwini Amafa” (2024). His hit collaborations—such as “Let’s Chill Together” with Gqizile—showcase his ability to fuse cultural depth with contemporary rhythm and feel-good energy. In 2025, Saliwa earned major milestones with three RiSA Gold certifications, including “Zingishiyil’ Eziy’emhlangeni”, “Suka Sishimane” (feat.
