Todd & Karen

Todd & Karen is the indie pop brainchild of Norwegian singer-songwriter Øyvind Berge and Irish-Swiss musician Ina Verdi-Ruckstuhl. Together, they conjure melodic, neurotic, and irresistibly danceable pop, often inviting bold guests (notably Trick Knobs) to tumble into their unpredictable musical orbit. Imagine The Kinks and The Divine Comedy sharing a rehearsal room with Super Furry Animals, occasionally inviting Air and a-ha along, and deciding that every song should be a completely different adventure. "Unique. No other word for it." - David Bentley, Nordic Music Central "[...] allergic to repeating themselves." - 1111CR3W Magazine "[...] following trends tethers you tightly to a time and a place, something that you could never level at these smart cookies with their even smarter songs." - Dave Franklin, The Big Takeover "[...] a signature blend of Scandinavian minimalism, humor, and international eclecticism that feels both clever and effortless." JAKE SOMMER Reviews "Infectious is the word, and it’s an infectiousness that flows effortlessly {...] Songs this immediate can only be an extension of the personalities behind the music." - Dave Franklin, Dancing About Architecture "For a band that has always danced between sincerity and irony, ‘WORK’ feels like a creative high point, delivering something clever, catchy, and quietly radical. It’s indie-pop with purpose." - The Indie Grid Latest release: "FURTHER NEUROSES" (EP, Physical, Limited Edition)
