Biography & Metadata

LA-based singer-songwriter Lauren Juzang crafts dreamy indie-pop and folk songs with a mystical, otherworldly edge. As The FADER puts it, her music “sounds like Mk.gee started producing bubbly coming-of-age pop in the vein of Sabrina Carpenter.” Her newest single, “Smooth talker”, marks the first introduction to the world of her forthcoming project, SUPERSTAR (out early 2027). The track captures the rush of an instant connection. It describes the kind of person who sweeps you off your feet, leaves you wanting more, and disappears before you ever get the chance to know them. Her debut album SUPERSTAR reflects the ambitious dreams we carry as children and how they continue to evolve. At 23, Juzang found herself back in her childhood bedroom, working as a nanny while she kept chasing the thing she'd always wanted to become. SUPERSTAR doesn't skip past that part. It sits in it. The waiting, the doubt, the friendships that carry you through, and the determination to keep believing in yourself even when the dream feels far away. Her singer-songwriter instincts remain the foundation, but SUPERSTAR sees Juzang pushing beyond the familiar, embracing a larger-scale pop sound without sacrificing the intimacy that makes her music resonate. At its heart, SUPERSTAR is about staying hopeful when the ending isn't written yet--the years spent figuring it out, dreaming too big, and building something real alongside the people who love you, while embracing the beauty of that process.
