Devonwho

American beatmaker Devonwho (Devon Fox) produces laid-back electro-funk informed by the '90s G-funk sound, but with enough trippiness to fit in with the Brainfeeder/Stones Throw beat scene. Originally based in Portland, he's lived throughout the West Coast, and he co-founded the Klipmode collective with frequent collaborators Mndsgn, Suzi Analogue, and Knxwledge around 2009. Following several digital releases and compilation appearances, as well as a split 7" with drum'n'bass producer dBridge, Devonwho's 12" EP Keepthafunkalive appeared on Irish label All City in 2010, followed by Strangebrew two years later. Full-length cassette Perfect Strangers was released by Dropping Gems in 2013. 2010, a collaborative EP with Shigeto that was originally scheduled for release on All City, was made available as a free download in 2015.
