Boostive

Boostive is known for their explosive live shows, growing from their six core members into a dynamic 6–12 piece band. Their sound is a unique blend of downtempo electronica, dub-reggae, cumbia, and hip-hop, shaped by the different musical backgrounds and life experiences each member brings to the group. They’ve coined their sound “Dub-Hop.” Hailing from California, Boostive is influenced by the rich musical culture of the West Coast, but they don’t fit neatly into the typical California reggae sound. Their music draws more heavily from late-’70s roots reggae, Jamaican dub, and the golden era of hip-hop, blending those influences with electronic production, global rhythms, and live instrumentation to create something distinctly their own. Over the years, Boostive has had the opportunity to tour and share stages across the country with many of their musical heroes, including Lee “Scratch” Perry, Thievery Corporation, and Slightly Stoopid. Their high-energy performances and genre-blending sound have helped them build a loyal following and carve out a sound all their own. The band is currently working on new music and gearing up for festival season, bringing their signature grooves, live instrumentation, and infectious energy to stages wherever they go.
