Carli Lessing

Hailing from the picturesque coastal town of Hermanus in South Africa, Carli Lessing is a dynamic Christian pop artist, songwriter, and worship leader who has captured the hearts of listeners worldwide with her captivating melodies and inspiring lyrics. Her devotion to her faith is the driving force behind her songwriting. Carli's passion for collaboration shines through in her work. A member of the Songchasers group, she enjoys co-writing with artists from around the world. Recent notable collaborations include the song "Don't you dare give up" written with and released by artist Nicole Norton. This song was chosen as a finalist in the 2024 UK Songwriting awards and a semi-finalist in the 2024 International Songwriting Awards. Another notable collaboration, "Promises" co-written with local instrumental artist Anneline Hugo was chosen as the winner in the 2024 Top Pen Songwriting competition held by Mercytribe out of the US in the CCM category.   A defining aspect of Carli's musical journey is her contribution to Afrikaans worship music. Her ability to craft emotionally resonant lyrics in Afrikaans has led to her songs being sung in churches not only across South Africa but also around the world including churches in Namibia, England and Australia. In addition to her music career, Carli is a dedicated wife and mother, cherishing life with her husband and three girls.
