Biography & Metadata

“LUJURIA is a rock band that blends stoner metal and alternative rock, defined by its raw power, provocative grooves and strong melodic hooks. Since their debut in 2007, they have evolved from a regional act into festival favorites, releasing several powerful LPs including Hellavodka (2009), Pincushion (2013), Toxikiller (2014), Sextorsion (2018) and P$YCOST@LK3R (2020). Formed in 2006 by Argentine producer Matt Houdini, the band independently released their first album, Inocencia Perdida, in 2007. Their promotional tour included an MTV appearance, standing out among more than 30,000 Latin American bands. Hellavodka (2009) further expanded their reach, opening doors on VH1 and MTV. In 2013, LUJURIA achieved one of their early breakthroughs with Pincushion, featuring the single “Feel So High.” In 2014, they released Toxikiller, raising their profile and attracting the attention of Cleopatra Records, who later released a compilation in 2016. In 2017, Jesse Hughes of Eagles of Death Metal and Nick Oliveri from Kyuss & QOTSA collaborated on Sextorsion (2018), and also toured with LUJURIA in the United States. After more than 300 shows across the United States and Mexico, including over 30 sold-out performances at The Roxy in Argentina, LUJURIA released P$YCOST@LK3R (2020), featuring standout tracks such as “Cold War,” “Kill the Sun,” and “Black Magic.” LUJURIA is currently preparing the release of their 8th studio album, SKULLNIGHT.”
