Urban Phunk Society

Uplifting, emotive, and sensual: Urban Phunk Society's tunes are available on more than 300 music compilations from various international labels. The Munich-based music collective was founded in 1997 and quickly attracted the attention of independent record labels and internet radio stations. Urban Phunk Society achieved their breakthrough in 2010 with chill-out and lounge tracks featured on the successful "Brazil 5000" compilation series, supported by London-based music producer Sascha Panknin (Fettes Brot, Fanta Vier, DisJam, etc.). A lot has happened since then: Alongside occasional side projects, collaborations, and radio broadcasts – including appearances on the British "Music for Dreams Radio Show" by Andy Pye in 2024 – their electro-acoustic tracks are distributed by Karmaloft (founded by the Café del Mar legends Chris Le Blanc, Roberto Sol, and Florito) and released by numerous record labels worldwide. Selected tracks by Urban Phunk Society are also being adapted for music students on the Dutch Chordify platform – learn and play all your favorite songs.
