Volt (Kürşad Özbey) is a rapper born in Istanbul/Beyoğlu who discovered hiphop at the age of 10. His interest in Turkish Rap started through cousin living in Ankara who introduced him to artists such as Sansar Salvo and Mode XL. Over time, he shifted his focus toward creating original music and building his own identity. His early works were released under Shark Records. After years of recording various tracks, he moved away from imitation and focused on shaping a unique artistic voice. In 2017, he released his first mixtape, “Mezardan Bir Seda.” In early 2018, he followed with a six-track project titled “Acaba.” Later that same year, he released the 24-track mixtape “Her Şey Dünya’nın Suçu,” followed by “Yaratık,” a 7-track project. In 2019, he released two singles under the Masta Jam label. In 2021, he dropped the six-track EP “Tezgah” which also featured a music video for its title track. Worked with Murgs on “İçicem Gülücem Ölücem”. He also released the song “Profesyonel” with Stabil. In 2022, he parted ways with Neopolis and continued his career independently. His move to 🇷🇸Belgrade in 2024 marked new phase in his life, inspiring the track “90” which reflects themes of adaptation and distance from his past in Turkey. In the same year, he collaborated with Sansar Salvo with “Demoralize Makine” His most recent release is “Sirtaki” and ''Son Mum'' a collaboration with Sansar Salvo, representing his current artistic direction.
